Pacific Beach ES

The Whole Site Modernization includes the construction of a new kindergarten Building 9, renovation of three classroom buildings, Buildings 3, 5 and 7, modernization of the Multipurpose Room and stage of Building 6 including reconfiguration and expansion of the Kitchen to improve circulation of the kitchen serving line and exiting while also creating new support and storage rooms, and modernization and reconfiguration of Buildings 4 and 8. A new structure will be added at Fanuel St. between the new Building 9 and existing Building 7 to serve as an entrance for the new Kindergarten area. Site improvements include accessibility upgrades and a covered canopy walkway across campus. The three existing portables on site will be demolished.

 

In addition to the site work, a Joint Use Field will be developed.  This project is a collaboration between the City of San Diego and the San Diego Unified School District.  It will include a natural turf field with a perimeter walking/running track will be used by students during the day and the neighborhood in the evening and on weekends.
